The gift of life is in your hands

Will you consider leaving HEART UK a gift in your Will?

Leaving a gift in your Will to HEART UK is the most powerful way you can save lives from high cholesterol and other blood fat lipid conditions.

HEART UK relies on the generosity of our supporters as we receive no government funding. Every legacy we receive is incredibly valuable, no matter how the size.

To leave a gift in your Will you must have an up-to-date valid Will. Having a Will is your opportunity to take care of everything that is important to you and ensure that your wishes are carried out. We understand that your family and friends come first.

This year HEART UK is delighted to have teamed up with two specialist companies to deliver our free Will writing offers.

  1. National Free Wills Network gives you the chance to book an appointment with a local solicitor who will draw up your free Will with you - available between September and November only.
  2. Octopus Legacy (formerly Guardian Angel) enables you for write a free Will online if you live in England or Wales - available all year round. Click on the logo below to find out more.

All that we ask is that you consider leaving a gift to HEART UK - although you are under no obligation to do so.

What your legacy could achieve

There are many ways your support will make a difference. It can help us:

  • Hold the NHS to account to identify more people, including children and young people, with FH. This will be done via a fully operational national screening programme where all children are tested for FH and a national lifelong registry for FH developed across the UK to ensure future generations are supported.
  • Train doctors and nurses through our primary care programme to identify people with high cholesterol and FH and offer the best possible treatment.
  • Deliver a comprehensive patient outreach programme which includes specialist literature distributed free of charge to thousands of patients and GP surgeries every year.
  • Run our Cholesterol Helpline (which costs us over £67,000 a year) well into the future, providing medical and lifestyle advice to thousands of people every year.
  • Bring together world-leading healthcare professionals in the field of cholesterol and other blood fat (lipid) conditions at our annual scientific conference.

To request your free Will pack, click on the National Free Will Network logo above and complete the form. A pack will then be sent to your home address including a copy of HEART UK's legacy leaflet.

''I want to see a future when nobody need die prematurely from an inherited high cholesterol condition. That's why I have left a gift in my Will to HEART UK''
