New UK guidance from HEART UK - The Cholesterol Charity and Association for Laboratory Medicine recommends including Lp(a) with other cholesterol tests for high-risk patients.
“We hope this statement will help to harmonise test repertoires that labs offer, increase capacity for Lp(a) measurement, and standardise comments appended to reports to assist interpretation of the result by clinicians,” explains Senior Author, Dr Jaimini Cegla, from Imperial College London, UK.
