At Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, where I work as a Consultant Cardiologist, we have noticed over the past few weeks a significant reduction in the number of cases brought in by ambulances to our Heart Attack Centre (HAC).
Numbers of heart attack and stroke cases are falling dramatically since the COVID-19 crisis started– perhaps more than 50-60%.
