National Cholesterol Month

October is National Cholesterol Month and is dedicated to raising awareness of cholesterol and funds to enable us to carry out our life-saving work.

Thanks to everyone who got involved with National Cholesterol Month last year.  It was our 11th year of running the campaign and a huge thank you to everyone who raised funds and awareness for us; we could not do this without your terrific support!

Our main fundraising event was the Great Cholesterol Climb which went really well - many supporters and companies got involved.  We had well over 100 registrations and we are delighted with the enthusiasm from everyone who took part - doing their steps, feeling fitter, raising funds and having fun.  Thank you all so much. Thanks to celebrity chef Ambassador Cyrus Todiwala for supporting HEART UK during National Cholesterol Month.  For every char grilled chicken served throughout October, Cafe Namaste and Mr Todiwalas Kitchen donated £2 to HEART UK.

Several friends of the charity also came up with their own ways of supporting us. One of our ambassadors hosted a concert in Yorkshire and raised a fantastic £700. We cannot mention all the activities here but our sincere thanks to everyone who got involved!

It costs us £120,000 a year to run our cholesterol helpline.

Please donate to keep the helpline and other services running
