Cholesterol-lowering foods

Some foods punch well above their weight in helping to lower cholesterol levels – we call them the “Cholesterol busters”. Choosing a healthy diet which is low in saturated fat will help keep your cholesterol levels low, and these cholesterol-busters can lower them even further. There are six types of food that lower cholesterol.

Keep other health problems under control

Taking control of any other health problems you may have is important too, especially if they involve the heart and blood vessels, such as diabetes and high blood pressure. Speak to your GP about any medicines you should be taking or health checks you can have.
