HEART UK ChangeMaker Programme
The NHS is placing stronger emphasis on patient engagement and experience as essential elements of quality healthcare delivery.
Identifying, engaging and supporting patient participants can be resource-intensive and many existing patient participation groups have a limited scope.
The ChangeMaker programme aims to recruit, upskill and support patients to share their own lived experience and that of others and ensure their input can be transformative and not just tokenistic.
Involving ChangeMakers in the co-production of local services will help ensure patient-centric quality improvements.
ChangeMakers can also facilitate collaboration with HEART UK, signposting to services which can support resource-constrained ICBs to deliver the truly integrated care needed.
Do you know a patient who would be ideal for the ChangeMaker programme? Someone who could use their lived experience and passion for helping others to advocate for positive change?
