Could you spare some time to be one of our Ambassadors?

Our Ambassador programme embraces people just like you who have been affected directly or indirectly by cardiovascular disease. Ambassadors are a vital part of HEART UK and by giving us some of your spare time you’re helping us with our work raising awareness and spreading the word in your own area. If you are interested to support HEART UK we would love to hear from you.

There are many ways you can offer your support:

Advocacy – Be a voice in your community – help influence the heart health decisions which are important to you

Promoting our services to your GP or local hospitals

Case studies – do you have an interesting story to share?

Patient event - help support people who have cardiovascular disease and FH by putting on a patient event

Fundraising – fundraising is fun!  Could you help raise valuable funds for HEART UK?

  • by approaching shops, pubs and companies with our collecting tins
by organising your own fundraising event, running a stand for us at a local fair or fete
  • Approaching your local community groups that support charities such as Rotary Clubs, Inner-Wheel, and your local WI, and to see if they would make a charitable donation to HEART UK.
  • Supporting campaigns – get involved and lend your support with our policy work to help keep cardiovascular disease on top of the political health agenda

Media – be a media spokesperson for HEART UK

Raising awareness – get out there into schools, hospitals, libraries and raise awareness for us

Corporate companies – could you introduce HEART UK to be a charity partner?

Social media – tag us into your conversations

Any amount of time and support you can contribute would be gratefully received. We have lots of exciting things planned for this year so email Sheila on sn@heartuk.org.uk to find out more about how you could get involved and help make a difference.

HEART UK Ambassadors help to empower the patient voice and provide a support network for people in a similar situation, raising awareness of the importance of managing cholesterol and supporting the work of HEART UK. Ambassadors can also help us with fundraising by organising events and raising money for the charity.

Let's do more together!
