London to Brighton Challenge

29th – 30th May 2021

The Classic Capital to Coast Challenge, with a varied 60% off-road route. It’s a Richmond start by the Thames, then the North Downs and some wonderful Surrey & Sussex countryside. The Full 100 km challenge heads over the South Downs before the welcome sight of the Brighton coastline comes in to view.

Lake District Challenge

12th - 13th June 2021

Take on & enjoy some of England’s finest countryside and scenery at your pace. From the Kendal base camp it’s a 100 km anticlockwise loop taking in a few tough hills & fells, Ambleside, Lake Windermere at half way, nature reserves, and forests  – with stunning views en-route.

Cotswold Way Challenge

28th – 29th June 2021

It’s a revised route from the base-camp in Cirencester – the ‘capital’ of the Cotswolds. Now it’s not only fabulous views, villages, and rolling hills – it’s easy to access, fewer road crossings, and there’s pre-event accommodation – so it’s better than ever!

3rd – 4th July 2021

The figure of 8 route out from the Bakewell base-camp enables a fantastic & varied experience. Choose a distance that suits – and with camping options – or nearby B&B’s – it makes for a great Peaks weekend away!

Yorkshire Challenge -The Nidderdale Way

17th – 18th July 2021

The Nidderdale Way is a wonderful circular route in an area of outstanding natural beauty – and the Challenge incorporates the best of it, and with the Pateley Bridge base-camp will make it a Dales weekend to remember!

South West Coast 2 Coast

24th – 25th July 2021:

A ‘Coast to Coast’ Challenge in England’s South West. It’s 102 km from Minehead in Somerset on the south bank of the Bristol Channel, down to the seaside town of Dawlish on Devon’s south coast. In between there’re the ups & downs of Exmoor, some fabulous views, the meandering Exe Valley, and the City of Exeter.

South Coast Challenge- The South Downs Way

4th – 5th September 2021

Take on some of England’s finest scenery with an Eastbourne start, up Beachy Head, over the magnificent Seven Sisters, and along the famous South Downs Way, with stunning views over the sea, to Brighton at half way. Devil’s Dyke, and a few ups & downs all lie ahead before historic Arundel comes into view after an amazing 100 km journey.

Thames Path Challenge - Putney Bridge to Henley

11th – 12th September 2021

Take on England’s greatest river with a 100km route heading out from Putney Bridge, past Hampton Court to Runnymede, of Magna Carta fame, at 50km. On to Windsor and then past wonderful historic scenery & countryside all the way to Henley. With half & quarter distance options – there’s a Thames Path Challenge for everyone!

Thames Bridges trek- 25KM, 16 historic bridges

11th September 2021

Venture across the Capital with unrivalled views of the skyline. Setting out from Putney Bridge – it’s East towards the City, zig-zagging over 16 historic bridges – each with its own fascinating story, and a mid-point stop at The Oval for some snacks & drinks. 25km later it’s a finish line celebration in Southwark past the majestic Tower Bridge.

Chiltern 50 Challenge - 50KM Henley loop

25th September 2021

The end of season 50 km / 25 km takes in some of the best of the Chilterns countryside, with historic trails, nature reserves, forests, and a few hills with fantastic views. Starting & finishing at the base-camp in Henley, there’s a Saturday night celebration BBQ & entertainment, with extensive on-site camping & parking options.

By signing up to a 2021 Ultra Challenge – you can be confident that the events will be as low risk as possible, Action Challenge has a proven model having operated the Chiltern 50 Challenge in September. Furthermore throughout 2021 they will be guaranteeing free transfers to other Ultra Challenges or full refunds if they have to cancel any events as a result of Covid-19.
