

H·E·A·R·T UK's Campaigning Committee calls for improved public understanding of cholesterol through education and awareness of diet and lifestyle change. H·E·A·R·T UK engages with Government and related organisations (including the Food Standards Agency) to campaign for:
H·E·A·R·T UK works in partnership with a broad representation of organisations to help achieve its campaigning objectives. The Campaigning Committee represents a partnership between the charity, Merck Sharp & Dohme Ltd and Schering-Plough Ltd (joint partners) and Unilever Ltd. Moreover, H·E·A·R·T UK continues to work in partnership with the Primary Care Cardiovascular Society, the Primary Care Diabetes Society and the National Obesity Forum regarding the need for improved access to heart risk assessment.
H·E·A·R·T UK’s Campaigning Committee builds on the successful ‘Cholesterol UK’ joint initiative involving HEART UK and the British Cardiac Patients Association (2002-2007).
