H·E·A·R·T UK – The Cholesterol Charity- Welcomes New NICE Guidance On Familial Hypercholesterolaemia
H·E·A·R·T UK – The Cholesterol Charity - has been at the forefront in promoting awareness of FH and supporting those individuals and families who are affected. With the publication of the NICE guidance - the first national guidance for this condition - the charity is now keen to work closely with primary care organisations and Hospital Trusts to help achieve successful implementation. The charity already has significant materials including a website and telephone helpline to support this process and to educate, inform and to advise patients and healthcare professionals. A toolkit to support the implementation of the NICE guidance is also in development. The charity plans to work closely with NHS colleagues to ensure world-class commissioning becomes a reality for FH.
